University Standing Committees (USC) are vital for the success of Middle Tennessee State University. The sole purpose of USC are to “create a framework for shared governance by advising administrators, executing appeals processes, and fulfilling mandates to the University. Committees are composed of faculty, administrators, staff, and students who invest in the well-being of the University through this service. These committees provide expertise and advice to the University.”
Middle Tennessee State University’s Student Government Association President has the privilege of appointing student representatives for these committees who motivated to make a positive change on campus.

Undergraduate Requirement: be a full-time student (enrolled for twelve [12] or more hours) and will have a grade point average of 2.25 or above at the time of the appointment.
Graduate Requirement: be a full-time or part-time student (SGA Resolution of March 23, 1994) and will have a grade point average of 3.25 or above at the time of appointment
