Important Dates

| January 20 | Potential candidate election packets available on myMT |
| January 27 | Completed potential candidate packets are due by 4:00 p.m. on myMT |
| January 30 | Candidates eligible to run for Executive and Senate positions will be announced by this date. Eligible and non-eligible candidates will be notified via e-mail. |
| January 31 | Candidates’ banners sign-ups open. Sign up early to ensure you get a banner spot! |
| February 3 | Candidates’ Mandatory Meeting. 6:00 p.m. in the STU Parliamentary Room |
| February 20 | Candidate banners due by 4:00 p.m. to the CSIL Office (STU 330). |
| February 21 | Campaigning Begins at 12:01 am |
| February 23 | Executive Officer Debate in the Student Union Atrium (1st Floor) @ 6:00 p.m. |
| March 2 | Voting opens at 10:00 a.m. |
| March 5 | Voting closes at 11:45 p.m |
| March 6 | Spring Election Results posted by Noon outside of Student Union 330 and 306 and on SGA social media. |

Students may protest an alleged violation of the Electoral Act by completing a complaint form.

Become a part of the SGA Election Commission.
The purpose of the SGA Election Commission is to uphold the integrity of all elections and referendums coming before the student body. It is comprised of four student members and chaired by the SGA Election Commissioner. The commission’s duty is to ensure that all aspects of any referendum or election, coming before the students, strictly adhere to the university’s Electoral Act.
